Over the past few months, the Aspire team have been clearing out their closets and donating all second-hand bras to help raise funds for the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven.
Since April 2017, the Aspire Team have managed to fill up a ‘bra bank’ of unwanted bras ready in time for Breast Cancer awareness month in October. The Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven charity fundraises to help the new Breast Unit provide clinical services, assistance with breast care needs and complementary therapies over and above what the NHS can offer.
Fundraising manager of the charity, Lexi Craigie, came along to the Aspire office to collect the bra bank, meet Andrea Palmer, Head of HR and Georgia Connor, Marketing and Social Media Administrator whilst grabbing a coffee and slice of cake!
Mrs Craigie commented:
‘’The bras have been a very unique way of helping to raise funds for the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven and we are thankful to everyone at Aspire who have supported us.’’
Andrea Palmer, Head of HR at Aspire Business Partnership said, ‘Both Georgia and I, along with other members of the Aspire team have had close family members affected by breast cancer and were keen to support the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven charity and all they do to support both men and women with breast cancer’.
Unfortunately, the bra bank campaign is soon to come to an end, however if you would like to support the charity either by volunteering or by helping to fundraise, please get in touch with Lexi Craigie at the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven on 01905 733 786 or by email: alexandra.craigie@nhs.net
