Prior to Aspire HR, Andrea Palmer had her own successful consultancy business, Hands-on HR Limited working with a number of high profile businesses across the Three Counties and the West Midlands.

Andrea commenced her career working for Business and Tax Advisers, Rabjohns LLP in Worcester (now Bishop Fleming) as their HR Director.

Andrea is an employment generalist who specialises in dealing with complex employment issues, such as restructure and redundancy, absence management, resolving disputes and mediation, and often gets invited to chair disciplinary and grievance hearings by Solicitors on an independent basis.

Andrea is excellent at developing working relationships (with both clients and their employees) and delivering creative HR solutions for her clients’ employee challenges.   Andrea has also developed a highly successful local recruitment service for her clients.

Andrea is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), a Governor at St Richard's Hospice in Worcester and Chair of Wednesday Club a Worcestershire Networking Group for female business professionals.   She is also the co-founder of the Jon Palmer Memorial Charity Football Match with her husband, Mike which is an annual event held in memory of their son, Jonathan.

Andrea lives in Birtsmorton with husband, Mike and three woofers, India, a black Labrador who has a passion for expensive shoes, Poppy one slightly bonkers Field Spaniel who is rarely let off her lead and Pickle, a rather cute Jack Russell who likes to make his presence known at any opportunity!

In 2016, the family were blessed with a grandson, Edward Jonathan Rhys Owen, who was born on 9 July 2016 to proud parents, their daughter, Zoe and her partner, Daniel Owen.

Andrea likes spending time with her family, dog walking, baking cakes for the office and regularly signs up for challenges (Moon Walk, London), Paddle, Plod & Pedal (St Richard’s Hospice) with her girlfriends and work colleagues to keep fit and raise money for good causes…Oh and she does enjoy the odd glass of fizz!
